Mitchell Pauole Community Center, Molokai

This center and the park of the same name across the street are at the center of Molokai's social and civic scene. The Mitchell Pauole Community Center serves as headquarters for the police and fire departments, and many public officials have offices here as well. Nearly all community events, from PTA meetings to annual festivals, are held here. The baseball park across the street and the community tennis courts make this place a hub of island sports as well. Other sports facilities include a soccer field, gymnasium and skatepark. Locals and visitors often share the playing facilities, which are free to all. Facilities are also available to rent.
