Overview
This quirky little restaurant and bar located in the heart of Chicago's West Town transports patrons to the world and the spirit of the notorious 1930s gangster Al Capone. The walls are decorated with photographs and newspaper articles about Alphonse Gabriel "Al" Capone and one could say the Alphonse is pursuing the gangster boss's long year fight of bypassing the prohibition, since the cocktails in there are really delicious. You can have classic cocktails, more modern and adventuresome elixirs. The Alphonse also serves food including a spicy beef stew morbidly named Valentine's Day Massacre, named after a crime committed by Al Capone in 1929.
