Cleo's Bar and Grill, Chicago

Cleo's is a great neighborhood bar with friendly bartenders, a choice selection of single-malt scotches and whiskeys and a respectable lineup of beers on tap. The customers are friendly and sociable, although conversation dies down noticeably during the feeding frenzy that follows the arrival of the food. This is because the food here is a noticeably above good pub grub, and the different daily specials are a steal. Check out the chicken wings, outstanding chili and interesting pizzas. On Mondays, the bartender turns off the jukebox and turns Cleo's into a jazz lover's haven, spinning tracks by Bird, Diz, Bill Evans and their friends.
