The Durkin Park lies adjacent to the Durkin Park Elementary School in the city neighborhood of Ashburn. The park was built to cater to the fast-growing Ashburn community in 1962, after the Chicago Parks District was approached with the need for the community to have an open space of its own. Usually, one can see kids from the school rush here after school hours, playing freely and having a good time. Do see the website to know more.
