Half Acre Beer Company is a company that produces and distributes beer from its small brewery in the North Center in Chicago. Although Half Acre Beer has been available at select Chicagoland locations since 2007, it wasn't until 2009 that the retail side of the brewery opened. Here just a few feet away from where beers like their year-round Half Acre Lager or their specialty Baumé, an American Chocolate Rye Stout, are brewed, customers can sample beers from an in-wall draft box and purchase Half Acre brews and paraphernalia. Half Acre frequently sponsors events and tastings of new brews across Chicago and hosts scavenger hunts that earn winners free beer.
