The Nicole Gallery, featuring ethnic art (largely African-American and Haitian works), is not afraid to showcase the bizarre and unusual. Consider such exhibitions as "Voodoo Ceremonial Flags," a collection of beaded and sequined satin panels from Haiti. Works here are refreshing. Owner Nicole Smith is very knowledgeable and she prices the art reasonably. Exhibits change frequently and are often heralded with festive openings, complete with Haitian music.
