Overview
Spread over an impressive 27 acres (10.9 hectares), the Palmisano (Stearns Quarry) Park has had a rather rich history, which dates back to about 400 million years! The land, of which the park is a part, was home to an ancient coral reef, which has yielded some archeological treasures as well. A former limestone quarry, the park has been designed keeping in mind its environmental heritage, and is one of the best places to go fishing, go for a stroll, or catch a stunning view of the city.
