Overview

Back in its heyday, the Pump Room, named for the famous Pump Room Restaurant at the Roman ruins in Bath, England, catered to celebrities. Frank Sinatra, Milton Berle, Humphrey Bogart, Clark Gable, Lauren Bacall and just about anyone else you can think of has dined here. Today the restaurant has been reinvigorated thanks to the Public Chicago Hotel and now reflects its former elegance. Dine on American classics such as the baked Alaska, veal Milanese and even fried chicken, recreated by acclaimed, James Beard 2011 chef, Jean-Georges Vongerichten. Be sure to make reservations as this establishment is quite popular.
