Ranalli's of Andersonville, Chicago

Andersonville is becoming quite the destination for Italian food. One of the newer restaurants in the neighborhood is Ranalli's, which recently took over the location of an upscale grocery store (though you'd never know by the warm décor). The menu includes standard Italian fare including a variety of pastas with your choice of homemade sauces, and entrees including ribs, steak, and chicken dishes. For those not in the mood for Italian, a number of salads and sandwiches are also available. Ranalli's is well-known for their thin-crust pizzas and provides a long list of toppings for you to choose from. In the summer months, Ranalli's has a walk-up window from which you can buy pizza by-the-slice or an Italian ice to help you cool off on a sweltering summer's day. -Susan Berg
