Operated under the Chicago Parks District, White (Edward H.) Park is a modest-sized recreational space in West Pullman. Built in 1968, along with the adjacent school, this park serves the purpose of providing an open space where kids and adults alike can enjoy fresh air, green views, and hearty exercise. The park, as well as the school, is named after Edward H. White, a NASA astronaut, who in 1965 became the "first American to walk in space". Do see the website or call to know more.
