Sukho Thai Restaurant, New Orleans

The dining room at Sukho Thai is huge, with high ceilings and light golden walls that make the oddly shaped room seem only larger. Enjoy your meal in a casual atmosphere or ask to be seated behind the divided wall for a more private setting. Sukho, (meaning Dawn of Happiness) Thai serves up traditional beef curry, noodles, and vegetarian dishes along with Wok and seafood specialties. Rich desserts are available with a tropical flair, or try the local favorite, black rice pudding. This is a non-alcoholic restaurant, but it makes up for its lack of spirits with the expansive selection of flavored teas. –Karen Gros
