Overview

One of the oldest nightclubs in Baltimore, The Hippo is vivacious and draws crowds from neighboring cities as well. A gay bar, this place has won awards, including Best Piano Bar and Best Karaoke in the past. Special nights include Bingo, Ladies Tea, Hippo Cabaret, and Drag Kings. DJs Farrell, Rodgers and Rosie hold the crowds spellbound throughout the week. The bar is also a good place to chat and down shots. Admission is restricted to those over 21 years of age.
