Banq, Boston

Banq is cleverly named for what the building formerly housed. No vault here, but the building is tricked out in restaurant glory. The walls are sculptural, curving lines that skim the floor and ceiling. The lush architecture mirrors the decadence of the food – try the Sesame Swordfish, with Thai curry braised lotus roots, cumin, and miso beurre blanc – the dish’s elements are a perfect example of how the chef manages to blend French and Asian influences. Banq is also reasonably priced, currently offering a BanQ Bailout Prix Fixe Menu for Restaurant Week prices. Banq also offers Sunday brunch. - Anais Wheeler
