Overview
From dystopian classics such as "1984", plays by Nobel laureates, tribute concerts to Jazz legends and performances by Broadway regulars, the Blackman Theater features them all. Indeed, adaptations of George Orwell books, plays by esteemed Italian writer Dario Fo, John Coltrane and Anthony Rapp are some of the infamous people to have directly or indirectly have had their works showcased for jam-packed audiences. The 2000 seat theater housed inside the Ell Hall at the Northeastern University is divided into three rows in both the balcony and orchestra levels with either area providing clean acoustics and undivided views. Specific rows at the front of the stage are devoted to the disabled theater lover.
