Fiore's Bakery, Boston

Fiore's Bakery is unabashedly the best in Jamaica Plain. Swing by for a reliably good coffee and cookie after enjoying a stroll in the nearby Arboretum. The cakes here are tasty as well as beautiful, and the baguettes are crusty on the outside and light and tender on the inside. Also to be recommended—pecan sticky rolls, spinach bagel, cupcakes, and the chocolate molten cake. With the recent introduction of soups and pizza at lunch, Fiore's now also serves one of the best affordable light lunches around. The limited seating can be cramped on weekends, but on weekdays you can sit undisturbed for hours.
