Overview

On a recent night about nine o'clock, Foley's Fireside Tavern was full of older guys in styrofoam caps hunched over the big center bar. An hour later, they had been joined by a mob of skinny jeans and more styrofoam caps (but ironic ones). Foley's is like that: a potpourri a bit like Jamaica Plain itself. The décor is no-frills, but they splurged on Video Bowling and the jukebox. There are also dart boards, which are rarely occupied. No food at Foley's, just cheap drinks and little baggies of Lay's. Nonetheless, Foley's never fails to be a good time for everyone. - Anais Wheeler
