Overview

Nichols House Museum is a private museum. They preserve this townhouse that was built in 1804 and was the home of Rose Standish Nichols, a landscape gardener, suffragist and pacifist. It was her home from 1885 to 1960 and it is kept in its original condition. The house educates people about life in the early 19th and 20th centuries. The museum has an archive of Nichols family photographs, papers, postcards including the furniture, decorative objects, textiles and artworks.
