Located in Concord, Walden Pond State Reservation is a park with the pond as it's main attraction. Currently managed by the Department of Conservation and Recreation, this 462 acre park is widely considered to be the beginning of the conservation movement. The Walden pond itself is a 31 meter deep lake spread out over an area of 61 acres. Visitors can come to the park for recreation and swimming is allowed in the pond.
