This local family restaurant specializes in the home-style cooking of the Ozarks. Banquettes inside open barn-like stalls line the walls, and wagon-wheel chandeliers hang above the main dining area. Yup, McFarlain's is country. And the hearty food selections fit the theme. Locals rave about its honey cornbread, fried green tomatoes and chicken potpie. Dessert fans face the quandary of which freshly-baked fruit pie to choose. All beverages are non-alcoholic. Its location in the IMAX complex is a double-edged sword. You can shop, take in a show and eat all under the same roof. But so can everyone else, which in peak seasons can lead to long waits for this top Branson restaurant.
