This 300 acre nature preserve has undisturbed ancient forests that look the same as they did thousands of years ago. There are 19 ponds, marshes and swamps located throughout the preserve. There are still marks visible on the trees from the original Holland Land Survey in 1797. The land was purchased in 1932 by Dr. Victor Reinstein, a local doctor, attorney and conservationist, for his own private sanctuary. Wildlife that lives on this preserve includes beaver, deer, woodpeckers, hawks, and great blue herons. There are also native wildflowers, ferns and fungi. Please contact for tour timings.
