Situated on tree-lined 31st Avenue in Astoria, Il Bambino offers some of the best paninis anywhere. The big fat pig painted on the wall opposite the counter lets customers know exactly where the meat comes from. Watch out for the coppa! Chicken and veggie options are also available along with some hearty homemade soups. Try the crostinis for smaller bites. The coffee is good too. Hefty baked goods, like cupcakes and brownies makes this establishment delightful. The counter staff are friendly and attentive. Great for take out or to chill in the back, which gets candlelit in the evenings.
