The brain child of Chef Omar Balouma, Barbès mainly serves French, and rarely found Moroccan dishes. Some of the specialties include Zaalouk, Hummus, Moules and Steak Frites, with Tagines and Couscous served during dinner. If you are a keen wine connoisseur, you might find the choice a bit limited. Of course, the novelty of experiencing some Moroccan specials in New York is an incentive in itself. Though the restaurant is open till 2 a.m., the kitchen closes at 12 a.m. Please see the website for further information.
