Overview
A park built to honor the memory of a generous British immigrant, Betsy Head, this park is a popular recreational facility in the borough of Brooklyn. Originally built in 1914, the idea of this park was mainly realized due to the money donated by Mrs. Head, and was the first facility in the city comprising a public outdoor pool and a bath house. Today, after years that saw further improvements being made to the park, the Betsy Head Memorial Playground is a gathering point for the locals, be it for an evening walk, a baseball match, or the community events that are organized here.
