Chef Gaurav Anand displays old-world cooking techniques at this stylishly adorned restaurant located in the heart of Manhattan's Curry Hill. The word Bhatti itself translates as an open-fire oven which is fueled by wood or charcoal. Chef Anand has modified this ancient domestic device to suit his New York City kitchen, and from here he rolls out a range of delectable kebabs, marinated and grilled meats and vegetables such as the Bharwan Mushrooms, Tangri Kabab, and the renowned melt-in-your-mouth Gilauti Kebab, which is a prominent component of Awadh cuisine that originated from the Indian city of Lucknow during the time that the Mughals (Muslim invaders) ruled India.
