Opened in 1983, Cafe Mogador, a family owned restaurant has become a landmark of the East Village. The Mediterranean and Moroccan theme eatery is decorated with lanterns, black and white photographs and small spice jars that adds a elegant and exotic air to the small cafe. Traditional dishes like couscous, charmoulla, humus and tagines are a specialty. Offering excellent brunch options and open late through the night it caters to all. The cocktail and wine menu is enormous. Definitely a great place for a romantic candle-lit dinner.
