Overview
Award-winning chef Tom Colicchio, much vaunted in New York culinary circles and beyond, returns to his roots with this trendy, folksy restaurant. The restaurant is a slightly odd combination of the very modern (a glass and steel wine tower) and the charmingly old-fashioned (a wood-burning stove). The cuisine follows a similar path - the roasted chicken with autumn vegetable ragout has a down-to-earth appeal whereas the skirt steak served with bone marrow ravioli and edamame borrow extensively from several culinary sources. It's a pricey dining experience but it is certainly worth a visit to experience one of New York's best chefs get back to what he does best. Reservations are highly recommended.
