Delhi Heights belongs to a genre of multi-cuisine restaurants that try and showcase the most popular varieties of Indian food, like North Indian curries and grills, South Indian vegetarian preparations, and dishes that are classified as Indo-Chinese. Delhi Heights serves up its rather extensive repertoire in sleek and modern environs which sets it apart from the many other Indian and Pakistani restaurants that populate this largely South Asian neighborhood. Notable items on the restaurant’s huge menu include the Fish Pakodas, the Delhi Heights Tandoori Platter, the Achari Mushrooms, and the very substantial Chicken Biryani. Delhi Heights also has a full bar and offers a reasonably priced buffet at lunch time.

I have been going to this place since the last couple months and the food is phenomenal..Their live pasta n chaat stations on weekends is one of its kind in that area..The chef has recently introduced some of which is the crispy okra chaat...i cant express how divine this dish was...i was a bit apprehensive to try it at first..but i have never been disappointed in any of the items so far, so i gave this a shot...It was simply out of this world...their food really rocks..everything tastes so fresh..its the best indian restaurant in nyc for sure.....   Read More

Delhi Heights is definitely one restaurant, which is absolutely out of place in Jackson Heights. We ended up going there based on the reviews by fellow yelpers and a very strong suggestion from one of our corporate colleague who is a frequenter at this restaurant. At first we were in a little doubt, as we were entertaining an Indian client. On our arrival we were greeted by a very friendly manager, who we thought was just another guest as he was dressed casually. Place looked very upscale and modern and so were the attire of their wait staff. This is not what one would imagine when you talk about J'son Hts. "Fish Tikka" and "Tandoori Panir" for appetizer came on a sizzling plate. I must say that I've never eaten more flavorful Salmon in my lifetime. Big chunks of Panir were delicious, although I would have preferred it little moister. Chicken Makhni, Mix vegetable in Kurma sauce and Lamb chilli were excellent choices for entrée. Chicken was so tender and flavorful, unlike bland chicken Place was fairly busy when we walked in, but was packed by 9.30pm. We were amazed to see the Chef passing by every now and then interacting with all the patrons. During his brief visit on our table, we realized that he was the man behind the lovely fair at the Delhi Heights. We were further stunned when he mentioned that he was a Graduate from the Culinary Institute of America and also a alumni of Cornell business school. Chef Ballaney had a very humble and pleasant personality. It seemed as though he knew every guest in the restaurant. I have never seen a chef come out of their kitchen to interact with the guests. Some people were requesting to have a picture with him and his food Place was buzzing at around 10pm.Only flip side was the loud music, which everyone seemed to enjoy except our table, as were discussing business. I will definitely recommend Delhi Heights to any or everyone for its authenticity and great service. Manhattan restaurants better watch out, Delhi Heights can definitely give you guys run for business. I can easily compare this restaurant to any fine dining restaurant in Manhattan...   Read More
