Overview
At over 1,200 square acres, Flushing Meadows Corona Park is Queens' largest park. It is the site of two former World's Fairs, one in 1939 and the other in 1964, as well as the home to the famous symbol of the 1964 Fair: the Unisphere. The park also encompasses Shea Stadium (where baseball's the New York Mets play), the USTA National Tennis Center, three lakes, the New York Hall of Science, the Queens Museum of Art, a golf course and a skating rink.The park holds several events regularly.
