French Roast, New York

French Roast brings all of the simple delights from the "Hexagon" across the pond 24 hours a day in Greenwich Village. The atmosphere aspires to provide Left Bank ambiance and they offers menus for breakfast, lunch, dinner, brunch and late night. All of the traditional favorites are here such as steak frites, croque monsieur and fruit tarts. The coffee is excellent and there’s a full bar. Perhaps it’s part of the French aesthetic, but service sometimes can be a bit slow. However the food is good, and where else can one easily find escargot at 3a? More garlic sauce please.
