The Friedman Theater, formerly known as Biltmore has been privy to a lot of upheaval. Much to the delight of New Yorkers, it has managed come out unscathed and remains a theater venue. Opened in 1925, this venue was a roaring success for about three decades after which it was used as a CBS studio in the 1950s and 1960s. Trying times forced the theater to close down for quite some time, after which it re-opened in 2003. Friedman today, is home to the Manhattan Theater Club. Open hours vary throughout the week, call for details.
