Haakon’s Hall, New York

Haakon's Hall is a fun, kitschy restaurant which is located close to Columbia University in Upper Manhattan. The restaurant sports a modern but comfy look, adorned as it is with furnishings that seem to have been sourced from an upscale version of IKEA. The menu at Haakon's Hall features traditional American fare like Jumbo Maryland Crabcakes, Thanksgiving Turkey, Rotisserie Chicken and Meatloaf, though it also features dishes like the Grilled Baby Lamb Chops and the Baby Spinach, Anjou Pear, Gorgonzola and Pecan Salad that are created from recipes used at the award-winning Canyon Ranch health resort. The restaurant also serves a brunch on the weekends and hosts a highly popular trivia night on Saturday evenings.
