Kenka on St. Mark's is a friendly neighborhood joint where food is cheap and booze, cheaper. The veritable menu has all the trappings of a good Oriental meal, miso soup, yakitori, gyoza, potato croquettes and sushi. The place is known to have a boisterous vibe, so be prepared for loud conversations, drunken brawls and the kind. The service oscillates from rude to friendly, but is satisfactory given the evening rush. Moreover, the cotton candy machine outside is a welcome distraction. All in all, this is a good place to hang around with friends over a platter of seafood and sake.
