Those with a lot of spare change and an obsession with the world's most celebrated figures can throw down thousands of dollars for the extremely rare books, letters and manuscripts here. Many of them dating from the Renaissance or earlier and all signed by a famous hand. Hundreds of items are available at Kenneth W. Rendell Gallery, including such finds as Ernest Hemingway's lengthy note detailing his efforts on writing For Whom the Bell Tolls, a signed photo of Sigmund Freud and a signed picture of Winston Churchill.
