Like many trendy establishments in the Meatpacking District, Macelleria occupies a space in an old meat locker. Some of those industrial touches (like hanging hooks) have been left behind, adding a bit of realism to the sophisticated space. Great lighting, beautiful people and plenty of space make for an excellence ambiance. This is primarily a meat restaurant, with upscale takes on hearty Italian favorites including steak, wild boar, chestnut ravioli and roast duck.
