Mie Jakarta, whose name translates as Jakarta noodles’, is a tiny restaurant located in Elmhurst in Queens. Indonesian style noodles, known as Mie, feature prominently on the restaurant’s menu. These noodles can be had soup style in the form of the Mie Ayam Komplit which is served with an accompanying broth, meatballs and wontons, or dry in the form of the Mie Goreng which features noodles stir fried with vegetables and seafood. If you rather not have noodles, you can always opt for one of the restaurant’s several rice based one dish meals like the Nasi Campur Rendang (rice with beef curry) or the Nasi Campur Ayam Goren (Indonesian friend rice with egg).
