Overview
Previously known as the Mare Chiaro restaurant, Mulberry Street Bar is a favorite hangout for most people of the neighborhood. It has vintage, cracked, honeycomb tiled floors, old metal kitchen tables and a painted-over tin ceiling. This smoke-filled hangout probably looks much like it did when it opened its doors in 1908. Frank Sinatra is usually playing on the jukebox, and the regulars are always at the bar. The drink prices are as old as the place itself. You have a choice of beer and mixed drinks to choose from. Credit cards are not accepted.
- Open Hours: Monday to Sunday from 11:30 AM to 12:00 AM
- Nearest Train: 6 at Spring Street; N, R at Prince Street
