If you're looking to escape from a long day of work but you don't want to venture out to an overcrowded, high-volume club, consider the Retreat Lounge. This rustic, uber-sexy lounge located in the meatpacking district, is where tranquility meets urban living. It has a cabin-inspired decor, which is ever present in it's wood paneling, low-lighting and animal ornaments, and an easy-going atmosphere. The staff are friendly, and the DJs are awesome. If you're feeling adventurous, try one of their signature drinks, such as the Southern Retreat, packed with Makers, cinnamon molasses and ginger beer, or the Caipirnha De Uva, which puts a new twist on a timeless classic. The attire is smart casual, but it's New York so always dress to impress.
