Spice Market, run by the notoriously creative Jean-Georges Vongerichten, serves up an interesting take on Southeast Asian cuisine. The menu features a contemporary spin on street food, inspired by Vongerichten's travels around the sub-continent. Indulging in their specialties is much like tucking into an exotic dish at a roadside stall in Bangkok or at a market in Ho Chi Minh, but upgraded by pan-Asian influences and classic French training. The inventive drinks and desserts on offer are complementing of the unique fare. The decor is a fascinating art collection from Malaysia and India - the pagodas, drapes, deep colors, two-century-old flooring and an ornate centerpiece are reminiscent of a Rajastani palace.
