The Northern and Southern regions of India have their own characteristic cuisines. However, in larger Indian cities like Mumbai and New Delhi, many restaurants have menus that offer all-encompassing Indian fare that features dishes representing both of these distinct regions of the subcontinent. In an area known as Curry Hill, Tamba is fashioned after these big city Indian restaurants and offers a menu that features classic North Indian fare like Papri Chat, Tandoori Chicken, Butter Chicken, Lamb Rogan Gosht and Chana Pindi along with indigenous South Indian dishes like Iddlis, Uttapams and Dosas. The restaurant also offers a variety of lunch boxes to go as well as a reasonable lunchtime buffet meal like its other South Asian neighbors.
