José de Meirelles has created Tintol, wonderfully Mediterranean in the heart of Times Square. In sharp contrast to the bright lights and street traffic is this mellow and quiet wine tapas bar, specializing in Portuguese and Spanish cuisine. The menu is largely in Portuguese, but that doesn't pose much of a threat. Ask the server about the equally eclectic wine selection, and he might recommend a gem of a Portuguese wine. Perfect if you're planning to take someone out for 'dinner and a show'.
