Overview
The Tobacco Warehouse is a popular landmark built in the 19th Century in Brooklyn. The warehouse though now in ruins, was once a tobacco customs inspection center and reminds one of the thriving shipping activity in downtown Brooklyn. The warehouse was built by the Lorillard family and was an important center for trade and business. Today the structure is a venue for many community events, exhibitions, events in performing arts and so on.
