Vietnam Veterans Plaza near the South Street Seaport and within easy walking distance of Wall Street, is dedicated to the men and women who fought in the Vietnam War. The green, 14-foot high memorial was erected in 1985. Here, you will find letters, news clippings, photos and diaries of those who fought in Vietnam, and those who have recorded their experiences. It may not rival the monuments in Washington, D.C., but it is a moving tribute nonetheless.
