Niagara Falls gets a bad rap. There’s more to discover in New York’s northern climes than just its stupendous, natural waterfalls—although the falls are certainly at the top of the list. Niagara Falls is synonymous with marriage (or at least honeymoons), but you don’t have to get hitched to feel the romance as you walk along a slippery boardwalk at night, at the foot of thundering falls that are lighted in a dazzling array of colors.
