Vineyard Express Train Excursion @ Spring Lake Winery, Niagara Falls

The Vineyard Express is the brainchild of Spring Lake Winery and the Medina Railroad Museum. The train departs from the Lockport rail yard for a one-hour ride to the Medina Railroad Museum. Two vintage New York Central E-8 diesel locomotives pull 5 circa-1948 passenger coaches. Tour the museum, which is housed in a 1905 wooden freight house that’s 300-feet long and 34-feet wide—one of the largest surviving examples of such structures in the United States. Explore over 7,000 items on display. The next stop is Spring Lake Winery: enjoy a delicious catered buffet lunch, sample their wines, and listen to live music. - Christine A. Smyczynski
