Chelsea Theater, Raleigh/Durham

A few miles outside of Raleigh and Durham, in neighboring Chapel Hill, lies a venue that movie-goers look to in order to satiate their independent film and foreign movie cravings. This cinema is one of the few art-house theaters the city has to offer and it hums with activity on release dates and weekends. This isn't your typical movie theater where a trip to the concession stand leaves you with significantly less money than when you arrived and a tub of stale popcorn drenched in oil. Here, try the gourmet chocolates or fresh popcorn drizzled with real butter and wash it down with a cold beer or glass of wine. Chelsea Theater does not accept credit or debit cards.
