Overview
Built in the early 1930s, the tower of Duke Chapel soars 210 feet (65 meters) into the sky. James B. Duke, founder of the chapel, felt that its presence would influence the spiritual lives of Duke students. Fine ornamentation, stained glass and four beautifully crafted organs, including a Flentrop or "Bach's organ," draw thousands of admirers each year. For more details, check website.
