Anyone who has ever kept a dog knows how happy and enthusiastic he or she gets when they are taken out for a walk. It is even better and and more emphatic when the dog is taken to a park and just allowed to roam free and mingle with other furry four-legged friends. At the Millbrook Exchange Dog Park, one of only three off-the-leash dog parks in Raleigh, the atmosphere is filled with happy and playful 'bow wows' and 'yaps'. The massive park has three areas: the 'Large' Dog Park; the 'Small' Dog Park' and the Picnic Shelter. The first area is more suitable for young, big and dogs with a restless spirit who need to just run, run and run; the second is more suitable for old, small and dogs who might be recovering from any illness; the third area lies between the two other areas, and it is where you can relax with your dog and eat a sandwich or two and spend some time with your dog. However, there are certain strict rules that need heeding at the park, so do read them up before your visit.
