Anthony's of Little Italy, Cleveland

Anthony's of Little Italy is most famous for its award-winning authentic gelato. Gelato is Italian-style ice cream; gelato is similar to sorbet, made without eggs, generally denser, and melts faster than most American ice creams. In addition to the desserts, Anthony's also offers a range of Italian plates. Perhaps the most experimental item on the menu is the kiwi mango chicken, but those aiming for something more traditional can pick eggplant parmesan or veal marsala. Pasta dishes include alfredo pasta or portobello mushroom ravioli scallopini with veal demi-glaze. Anthony's also has an extensive wine list as well as occasional wine tastings. - Marjorie Jensen
