Saffron Patch, Cleveland

The Saffron Patch is located somewhat incongruously in an office building, but thr bright neon elephant in the window faithfully draws out its location. The décor inside is more elegant, with a subtle black-and-white motif. The menu lists its dishes in flowery terms, such as Vegetarian Love Affair or Tandoor Temptations. They offer selections to tempt all kinds of appetites, from traditional Tandoor Chicken to Lobster Curry, and several types of bread like Nan, Onion Kulcha, and Paneer Paratha stuffed with cheese. Mango desserts and drinks add sweetness to the meals. Wine and beer are also available, and the food can be delivered for a small fee. - Marjorie Jensen
