If you prefer the boutique hotel experience, the Colcord is the perfect destination. The Colcord opened its doors in 1910, but unlike the Skirvin, which is a trip back in time, the Colcord is fully modern, both in its decor and amenities. The rooms are slightly larger than the typical hotel room, and are fully wired, with flat-screen TVs, Wi-Fi and iPod docking stations. But the Colcord is still a classic Oklahoma City landmark; the building was the city’s first skyscraper and the first building to have an elevator. For the best of both worlds—classic, historic elegance and chic modern sensibility—the Colcord is the perfect choice.
